X usually keeps a video in several sizes. The best quality is selected by default; a smaller size is handy on mobile data. Every size is H.264 MP4, so it plays on any phone or computer. On a post with several videos, the choice applies to all of them.

Do twitter.com links still work?
Yes. Links from twitter.com and x.com, including mobile links, are read the same way.
Can I download photos from X?
Yes. Photos are saved in the full size X keeps, as JPG files.
Which quality should I choose?
Best keeps the full resolution. Data saver is a smaller file that downloads faster on mobile data. Both play everywhere.
Why can't some posts be opened?
Posts from protected accounts, and some posts X shows only to logged-in users, can't be opened. PostDown never logs in.
Can I download live broadcasts or Spaces?
No. Only videos that are part of a regular post can be saved.
Is there a limit on video length?
Videos up to 2 hours long and up to 512 MB per save are supported.
