What PostDown is

PostDown is a free tool that saves the photos and videos of a public post on Instagram, Threads, Facebook, X (Twitter) or TikTok when you paste its link. It opens the post the way any visitor who isn't logged in can, and keeps the files on its server for at most 1 hour so you can save them. It doesn't host or publish anyone's content.

Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old. PostDown is not meant for children; if we learn that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we delete it.

What you may save

Save only content you have the right to save: your own posts, posts whose owner lets you keep a copy, or content the law in your country lets you copy for private use. You are responsible for how you use what you save, including any copyright, privacy or platform rules that apply to it.

What you must not do

Don't use PostDown to save or share content that belongs to someone else when you have no right to it; to infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights; for content that is harmful to children, obscene, defamatory, harassing or that invades someone's privacy; or for anything else that breaks the law.

Don't run PostDown automatically or in bulk, get around its usage limits, overload or attack it, or use it to get past a platform's login or other protections.

Blocking and takedowns

We may block posts, accounts or connections from PostDown, without notice, when a rights holder asks us to, when these terms are broken, or to protect the service. Rights holders can ask us to block their content on the copyright and takedowns page.

Independent service

PostDown is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, TikTok, ByteDance, X or Threads. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to say which links PostDown accepts.

Ads

PostDown is free because it shows ads. Ads come from third parties: we don't endorse what they offer, and anything you arrange with an advertiser is between you and them. Blocking ads may limit or stop PostDown from working for you.

No warranty

PostDown is provided as it is, without warranties. Platforms change often, so a post may fail to download, and we may change, pause or stop the service at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost data or lost profits from using PostDown, and our total liability to you is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intentional harm or gross negligence, or any other liability the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; changes that affect you take effect once they're posted here, and using PostDown afterwards means you accept them.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the courts of Korea. This doesn't take away protections that the consumer law of your own country gives you and that can't be waived.

Translations

These terms are available in several languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
