Copyright and takedown requests
Effective November 7, 2026
PostDown doesn't host content: it opens public posts for the person who pasted the link and deletes the files within an hour. If you own the copyright in a post, or act for the owner, and don't want it saved through PostDown, send a request below and we will block it.
What to include
Your name and how to reach you; the work you own; the links of the posts or accounts to block; something that shows you hold the rights (a registration, a copy showing your name, or your statement that you accept liability for a false request); a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised; a statement that your request is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and your signature. The form below asks for all of this.
What happens next
We confirm receipt within 24 hours and review every request. When a request is valid we block the post or account straight away, and tell you the result within 3 days. A blocked post or account can no longer be opened or downloaded through PostDown, and files already prepared from it stop being served. We keep a record of each request and what we did.
Accounts
A profile link blocks every post of that account on Instagram, TikTok, X and Threads. On Facebook, list each post: Facebook doesn't give us a reliable account name to match.
False requests and mistakes
A person who makes a false request is liable for the damage it causes. If you think something was blocked by mistake, write to support@postdown.app.
Orders from courts and authorities
Send court or government orders to support@postdown.app. We act on them within the time the law sets.
By email
You can also send your request to support@postdown.app with the same information.
